This is a fantastic full-color book of super-realistic advanced armor model finishing techniques by master modeler Makoto Takaishi.
It shows how Takaishi-san achieves realistic finishes and weathering on an assortment of WWII German tanks--mostly the big cats (Tigers I and II, Panther),
with one Panzer III thrown in for good measure. Amazing stuff! Japanese with English translations. Softcover with dust jacket.

The last Japanese battleship to be built overseas, the British-built Kongo was also the first battleship to carry 14-inch guns.
Later rebuilt in Japan, the Kongo saw action at Midway and the Battle of Leyte Gulf,
eventually being sunk by the US submarine Sea Lion in November of 1944.
This earned the Kongo the distinction of being the only Japanese battleship sunk by a submarine,
and the last battleship ever sunk by a submarine.

Fujimi joins the fray of 1/350 IJN subjects with this excellent kit of the IJN battleship Kongo!
