My first model kit was a snap fit ship model bought from a “MAMA” Store (General Provision Store). Since then I have never looked back, even though I face persecution from my parents, especially from my mother. Initially, the models were mad for play. Unpainted and full of glue stains. But once I learnt to paint and weather my models, it has given it a whole new meaning.

Modelling has given me a great sense of satisfaction to me. The initial stages of assembly and painting could be a little stressful, especially when one has got mild colour blindness like me. But when the model is complete, the feeling is like “YES! I have done it again.” Through this hobby, I have developed a taste for Military history. I found myself reading many books of the Second World War and other modern war history. Of course, I have also get to know a few lifetime friends and a very good teacher and friend.
