About
I started making models back when I was in primary school. I built mainly Japanese naval vessels, with the
occasional tanks and planes. My first fully completed model was a tank though, the Tamiya T-34, painted
with Tamiya spray paint. An airbrush was something I could not afford in those days.
During my teenage days, my interest slowly shifted to drawing comics and modeling was all but forgotten …
Fast forward to 2004. My 6 yrs old nephew asked me for help in building an 1:700 aircraft carrier.
(he’s crazy over ships too!!) All that building and painting reawaken the passion in me. I bought 2 ship models
and went looking around for some courses that teach airbrushing. I chanced upon M workshop website and was
instantly impressed with the models showcase there !! Soon I was attending the basic modeling course conducted
by Bernard. Surrounded by all those wonderful AFV models displayed, it wasn’t long before I succumb to AFV modeling.
(5 years later, the ships models are still in their boxes…)
I’m still learning now, especially from Bernard and through the inspiring works done by the M workshop artists. And there
are so many incredible modelers around the world too !! Building and thinking about models is now a daily routine for me
and I hope to venture into figure painting sometime soon. Happy modeling !!
